Coming from a parcel called Les Blanches Voies, where 50 year old vines reside on south facing chalky soils, this is complex, aromatic and crisp – with excellent detail and intensity. Vinified exclusively in barrique, 10 months of elevage followed by three years sur lie and one year post disgorgement prior to release – a blend of 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir with 7 grams of dosage. The tension on the palate is palpable, with great salinity allied to a juicy sense of clear chardonnay fruit; this is just lovely.
