Notes
Tiny yields result from Chapoutier’s plot of vines in this exceptional vineyard. The 2007 yielded just 20hl/ha. An excellent, ‘long haul’ wine that will benefit from cellaring for several years, really pure and strong, ripe griotte and fresh red cherry notes, richer touches of crème de mûre with earthy, savoury undertones, a crystal clear and beautifully defined tannics structure.

Notes
Dark ruby. Pungent aromas of dark berries, licorice, cured meat and smoky minerals, along with brooding notes of tobacco, olive and espresso. Extremely young and ungiving today, opening very slowly to offer weighty dark fruit compote flavors and a musky licorice root note. The most unyielding of this set, with strong finishing grip and lingering smokiness. This doesn’t just need time, it demands it.
