Tasting Notes
Emotion 2013 is one of the rare Pinot Noir dominated Vilmart blends, at 60% saignee Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, the Pinot coming from Rilly-la-Montagne alongside the Chardonnay. After barrel fermentation and ageing, this receives over 60 months sur lie, and two years post disgorgement prior to release. And it is superb, an incredibly sophisticated Rose full of beautiful bright detailed fruit, pink grapefruit and salt notes, fine wildflowers and gariguette strawberries. With an ultra fine fine mousse, crystalline flavours and a fine peacocks tail of minerality and fine acidity this is sheer class.
