Tasting Notes
François Mitjavile’s Côtes de Bourg property is always worth serious consideration if you like exotic, hedonistic Claret. Produced from 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Malbec, the 2010 is probably richer than its 2009 counterpart. Notes of damsons, mulberries, sweet fruit and earth on the nose. This is wonderfully aromatic and complex (as usual). There is a creamy intensity on the palate with hints of dried fruits, cherry stones and cassis – velvety, deep and complete.
