Notes
The 2019 Marquis de Terme was the best vintage that I had tasted in a number of years – this showing suggests that it has improved even further in the last 12 months. It has a clean and precise bouquet with perfumed blackberry, bilberry and crushed stone aromas, the oak neatly integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, finely-sculpted tannins, very fresh and vibrant with real precision and tension on the finish. Classy. Tasted blind at the Southwold annual tasting.
