Tasting Notes
We don’t normally get that excited by Giscours, but in 2022, they have pulled out all the stops and made a superb wine. The best example to date, this opens with aromas of dandelions, black fruit pastels and Asian spices. It’s very sleek with impressive levels of concentration. Perhaps it lacks the refinement of the best Margauxs, but there is much to admire here; there’s a well of dark, glossy fruit at its core and the tannic framework is much more sophisticated and charming than normal. A great effort with lots of aging potential. 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot.
