Notes
The 2008 Bellevue has an opulent and quite ravishing bouquet, very pure and expressive with black cherries, boysenberry, fig and hints of peppermint. It is quite modern in style, very well defined and to put it in banal terms plain enjoyable. The palate is smooth on the entry with moderate depth, sensual and silky, maybe lacking in typicité as there is a hell of a lot of extraction yet it retains satisfying balance and freshness. Tasted blind at Farr Vintners’ 10-Year On tasting.
