Tasting Notes
This has the allure, refinement and Burgundian character of the regular Brunate with extra layer and intensity. Wonderfully beguiling and brooding, dancing flavours of cherry, cherry stone, sloe and strawberry with darker touches of earth, sweet spice and mocha, finishing on bright minerals and fresh flowers. Deep, powerful but noble and very sophisticated. From a single parcel of old vines within Brunate planted in 1942, produced in the same way as the other Cru wines – aged for 24 months in 40% new oak barrels. Circa 1200 bottles were made.
