Tasting Notes
Dark, suave velvety and lush. Very finely polished. Beautiful bramble, currant and sloe fruit dominate the palate but the most impressive thing about this wine is its silky texture. Easy to enjoy now, however there is a brooding complexity here that will require a few more years bottle age to reveal itself fully. From South facing vines in the stellar Ginestra Cru of Monforte situated at between 300-350 metres above sea level. The wine is aged in large 35hl French cask for 3 years followed by a further 6-12 months ageing in bottle.
