Notes
This is a riserva that is only made in the very best vintages, 2004 was the last year it was made. From the top of the Voghera hill in Serralunga where Azelias parcel is 80 years old. The soils are a mix of clay limestone and marl (marl is a white, dry and poor compact clay difficult for vines to penetrate.) Only 3000 bottles are made a year from their 0.9ha. The wine is aged for 4 years in large slavonian oak

Notes
A refined, sensual wine for Serralunga, the 2007 Barolo Riserva Voghera Brea, from vineyards in Serralunga, flows across the palate with layers of soft, sensual fruit. This is a bit reserved for the year and less fleshy than most 2007s, but it has good depth and plenty of harmony. The Riserva was aged in cask.
